SummerBounce Camp June 2010

07/14/2010

Twenty BRIDGE Lacrosse Dallas players and one coach ventured East to join other boys and girls from around the nation for a camp called SummerBounce, hosted by MetroLacrosse of Boston. Our group, made up of Irma Rangel and St. Philips players, began with a stop in Boston to watch our very first Major League Lacrosse game. Then we headed to New Hampshire for the week-long camp at the beautiful New Hampton School. While lacrosse was a very large component of the camp, youth players from Boston, New York City, Washington D.C., Baltimore, Dallas and San Francisco also took part in a four-mile hike, climbed an alpine tower and created an amazing anti-drug PSA video. This was the ninth year of the camp and the first time the program invited players from other parts of the nation. Our Dallas players loved the experience; all of them look forward to returning next year. We thank MetroLacrosse for providing a great opportunity for our kids!

"The reason I like lacrosse is I'm a good defense.  I check people.  It's a good sport to play.  It makes me so happy.  It gets better and better."
