BRIDGE is Gearing up for Spring Season | 01/20/2012With the fall ball season having served nearly 100 youth boys and girls from around the South Dallas area, BLD's coaches, players and parents anxiously await the start of the Spring season. BLD Junior Board Collects Used Equipment at Halloween Shootout | 11/03/2011About 12 members of BLD's Junior Associates Board, a group of young men learning to be responsible and involved Board members, spent the day Saturday at the Halloween Shootout Lacrosse tournament collecting gently used equipment to donate to BLD. BLD Hires New Executive Director | 10/24/2011BRIDGE Lacrosse Dallas is pleased to recognize the hiring of David Higbee as our new Executive Director. David has served as many roles within the BLD organization; team coach, young professional member and Board of Directors. BLD in DC | 10/19/2011Three BRIDGE Lacrosse Dallas players experienced the trip of a lifetime to Washington DC October 4-6, 2011. During lacrosse camp at SummerBounce, Karla Garcia, a 10th grader and Shelby Casas, a 12th grader at Irma Rangel Young Women’s Leadership School and Kevin Mondy, an 8th grader at Barack Obama Male Leadership Academy, participated in a speech contest where each of the three won all –expense paid trips to Washington DC. BLD Donors Never Cease to Surprise | 10/07/2011BLD supporters have been purchasing raffle tickets months preceding the 2011 Going for the Goal Dinner and Auction in hopes of winning a trip for two to attend the 2012 Men's NCAA Lacrosse National Championship games in Foxborough, MA. On Thursday, September 29, the evening had finally arrived to decide who would win the once in a lifetime trip from the raffle drawing during the annual fall fundraiser. As it turned out, the raffle winners extended their winnings for the benefit of BRIDGE Lacrosse Dallas. 2nd Annual Going for the Goal Dinner & Auction | 10/03/2011BRIDGE Lacrosse Dallas celebrated its second fall fundraiser September 29 at Dallas’s Northwood Club. Proceeds from Going for the Goal 2011 benefit BRIDGE Lacrosse Dallas teams, camps and clinics. The event was a rousing success, an electric evening full of high spirits and eager bidders. group of eager young men and women in grades 7-12th flew out of DFW airport
to spend a week in New Hampshire, playing lacrosse, increasing their game skill
sets, strengthening their leadership capabilities, meeting new friends from
cities around the nation and much more. Lacrosse Enrichment Provided by BLD at Circle of Support Summer Camps Serving Youth in Grades 5th-9th | 06/16/2011BLD teamed with Circle of Support for the fifth consecutive year to provide lacrosse as a sports enrichment to kids in summer camp in South Dallas. June 6-9 BLD Coach Jack Tierney led a group of 52 boys in grades 5th-9th. June 20-23 Highland Park High School junior varsity and varsity Coach, Betsy Rodau led a group of around 60 girls in grades 6th-9th attending the Circle of Support summer camp.
